Current Status of Alumina Produced from High-Sulfur Bauxite

摘要：

　　The sulfur contained in the bauxite do severe harm to alumina process, Production of alumina requires that the sulfur content of I-level raw ores should be less than 0.3%.With the exhausted of high-quality bauxite resource, the high-sulfur bauxite is become the main potential available resource of aluminum industry, and the development and utilization of high-sulfur bauxite were paid more important attention.Different desulfurization methods were compared in this paper, and the advantage and disadvantage of alumina production process desulfurization, flotation desulfurization, microwave desulfurization, bio-desulfurization were discussed systematically.
