Thermodynamic calculations and mathematical simulation of mechanical and technological properties in development of aluminium alloys
The possibilities of the thermodynamic calculations and mathematical simulation of properties-structure parameters relation in development of new aluminium alloys are shown.Thermodynamic calculations executed with the use of ThermoCalc (Thermo-Calc 3.0.1 version, TTAL5 and TCAL1 databases) and DICTRA programs allow construction of polythermal and isothermal sections of multicomponent phase diagrams, determination of phase composition, number of phases and chemical composition of aluminium solid with an accuracy commensurable with experiment errors.The possibilities of determining the hot cracking index using the calculated value of the effective solidification range is investigated for multicomponent aluminium alloys.TC-Prisma programs gives the possibility to calculate some microstructure parameters of the alloys belonged to various temper groups.
