Technical Analysis and Application of High Temperature Gas Baking Technology on the Startup of Aluminum Electrolysis Cells
As a mainstream technology for aluminum cells startup, fuel baking startup method has been widely applied in the world.As our high temperature gas baking technology gradually become mature, it is also accepted by most of domestic aluminum plants.Due to its short recovery period, small risks, high pay backs and other prominent advantages, this technology becomes the preferred option for secondary startup of accidental shut down and planned shut down cells.Based on cells baking startup, this paper makes a research on the differences of heating mechanism and baking effects between this method and conventional coke baking method.As for secondary cells startup, it analyzes techniques, economical comparison and application process in typical application cases for both methods.
