A TWO-DIMENSIONAL WAVE PROPAGATION METHOD FOR TORTUOSITY ANALYSIS OF PORE STRUCTURE
Tortuosity is an important parameter for characterizing the ions transport behaviors of cement-based materials (e.g., ions permeation and diffusion).This paper presents a two-dimensional (2D) Wave Propagation Method to quantitatively characterize systems tortuosity based on a binary image.The binary image of fresh cement pastes initial microstructure can be obtained by scanning electron microscope (SEM) observation.To reduce the effects of binary images limited size, a modified periodic boundary is employed in this study.Finally, the determination about best values of two crucial factors are discussed in this paper.
