The Application of Altmetrics in Library Knowledge Service

摘要：

　　Online scientific environment has given birth to altmetrics, which arouses wide attention and kindles fundamental changes in scientific community.The paper discussed the influence that altmetrics has brought to the role of library in scientific communication,and analyzed three core functions that altmetrics has in library knowledge service, and manifested three principle challenges on the process of fully applying altmetrics on library-information science.In the end, the study pointed out that libraries should take advantage of altmetrics to continually improve the quality of library knowledge service, and expand the impact that the library has on the scientific ecosystem.
