Thermal-flow Characteristics of Double-Jet Film Cooling Holes with Various Transverse Trench Configurations
In this study,thermal-flow characteristics on the adiabatic surface with film cooling hole arrangements were numerically investigated. The DJFC(Double-Jet Film Cooling)holes were embedded in a transverse trench with various configurations. In order to examine the flow characteristics and the effect of various configurations, basic geometry and three different trench configurations were considered. The depth of trench is fixed as 1 mm.Various values of trench width(w =6.25,7.25,and 20.0 mm)were considered.Numerical study was performed by using ANSYS CFX 14.5 with the shear stress transport(SST)turbulent model. As a result, the film cooling effectiveness, temperature distributions, and velocity vector distributions were graphically depicted with various geometrical configurations.
