Analysis of Lunar landers necessary Thrust Force in Landing Phase
For lunar landing missions, many parts of the system are important, but guidance and control part with thruster system also have main check lists that are necessarily analyzed and checked out in pre-design phase. This paper presents the appropriate force level of total thrusters in landing phase from DOI(De-Orbit Insertion)for landing with numerical simulation. Before showing the result of the simulation,we designed several landing trajectories from the lunar parking orbit for landing on the Moon.Braking bum at the parking orbit can make to insert into powered descending phase and appropriate level of thrust force and firing time should be considered in design phase. We checked out the thrust forces of each point to control orbiting in the pre-designed landing trajectory. The check points consist of the time of reaction thruster firing for MCC(Mid Coarse Correction),on braking bum for DOI and on terminal landing. In order to simulate for checking thrust forces,we utilized the simply designed model with thruster system and particularly depict that its type is mono-propellant system. At last,we summarize how much the thrust force is needed in landing phase with numerical simulation.
