The modular installation of methane utilization from mines IUMK-10000
The mine methane (CBM-Coal Bed Methane) accompanying the primary mineral exploitation-of coal and not taken by methane drainage degasification system by the greater part is excreted to ventilation air and create methane-air mixture (VAM-Ventilation Air Methane) with various concentrations of methane.The use of coal bed methane is very important from an economic and environmental.In Poland, conducted research on the economic use of ventilation air methane from mines for the production of electricity and heat, but there are technical and technological barriers of economic development of economic use of such fuel.AGH University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw University Maria Curie-Sk(t)odowska University, Wroc(t)aw University of Technology formed a consortium of Utilization of coal bed methane.The aim of the consortium is to study advanced technologies for the oxidation of methane from ventilation air methane.The consortium implementing the project Environmentally friendly technology of utilization of methane from coal mines.This paper presents research made in the project, parameters of laboratory installation to utilize methane from ventilation air (the symbol IUMK-1), pilot plant (the symbol IUMK-100), and developed an industrial project of installation IUMK-1000 utilize methane from ventilation air with thermal power 1 MW.
