Study on optimization of pressure-drop method for determine effective gas drainage radius in drill hole along coal seam

  Gas extraction solution design and the investigation of the extraction effect in this coal seam is directly infuenced by effective gas drainage radius in drill hole alone coal seam.In this paper, to accurately measure the effective radius and identify the reasonable arrangement of extraction hole spacing, the arrangement of extraction holes in the traditional gas pressure measurement was improved appropriately.In the same height, unequal spacing of pressure observation holes and extraction holes were arranged separately, the effective radius was then determined by monitoring the gas pressure changes in different drill hole groups.The field test was practiced in Dingji coal mine.The test compared with the traditional gas pressure measurement method and the improved gas pressure measurement method, found the improved gas pressure measurement method has higher success rate and higher accuracy.
