Selection and analysis of rational mining height of shallow coal seam with thin bedrock

  Crushing accidents often appear in thin bedrock shallow thick coal seam of Shengdong mining area in mining, the size of the mining height affects the stability of the overlying rock directly.In order to determine the reasonableness mining height, the paper analyzed of the effect of different mining height on Shendong trial coal mining face which the Shallow buried depth of coal thickness was 5.7 m by theoretical calculations and numerical simulation method.The results show that when the mining height is small, Roof sliding instability occurs easily, but with the mining height increases, the instability of the rotation angle increases and caving and fractured zone expansion upward, loose sand overlying layer can not form a stable structure after the bedrock breaking, eventually leading to pressure frame accident.Finally analysis to get the rational mining height of this working face is 4.5 ~ 5.2 m.
