Evaluation method for influence factors on gas content based on grey relational analysis

  Aiming at the current situation of 11-2 coal seam in Pansan Mine, which is prone to hazardous gas outbursts, through relational analysis and forecast, we have adopted the grey system theory and made a grey relational analysis of the influential factors on such outburst disasters, in order to improve accuracy and reliability of risk evaluation of gas outburst fatalness.Grey relational degree of every influence factors is obtained.Results show that Burial depth, main boundary fault distance and coal seam thickness have closest relationship with the gas content of 11-2 coal seam.Their relational degrees are far greater than 0.7.In this case, those three are the major factors affecting gas-bearing capacity in 11-2 coal seam.Moreover, sandstone-to-mudstone ratio and dip angle have poorer relationship with gas content compared with major factors, so they are the minor factors.
