SVM-BASED VALUE ASSESSMENT MODEL ON UGC RELATED TO EMERGENCY RESPONSE
With the rise of social media, User Generated Content is generated and propagated at an unprecedented rate.The assessment of UGC value therefore becomes a critical problem, especially for emergency response.In this paper, we formulate the problem of assessing value of UGC as a classification problem, and build classifiers based on a set of features related to the specific characteristics of emergency response.We present a case study about assessment of valuable UGC during Yaan earthquake.Experimental results show that the proposed analysis model of valuable UGC can effectively identify the valuable UGC in emergency management.
