SIMULATION-BASED OPTIMIZATION OF MULTI-STAGE SUPPLY CHAIN SYSTEM USING SYSTEM DYNAMICS AND MATLAB PROGRAM

  Many papers have discussed supply chain management using System Dynamics.However, the optimization method used in System Dynamics usually appears as trial-and-error.That method is not appropriate for multi-objective programming.To solve the problem, this paper presents a hybrid simulation approach combining System Dynamics and Matlab program.We build a multi-stage supply chain model using System Dynamics.Six parameters in the model need to be optimized.After analyzing the DYNAMO language of System Dynamics, a corresponding Matlab program is implemented.Then Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-Ⅱ method is used in Matlab program to find a Pareto front.Some sensitivity analyses are also conducted.This paper may provide references for simulation-based optimization, especially for hybrid simulation.
