ARRIVALS FORECASTING AND AGENT SCHEDULING IN URBAN PREHOSPITAL EMERGENCY CALL CENTER
Arrivals forecasting and agent scheduling in emergency call center become more and more important in emergency medical system.However, existing methods rarely concentrate on long-run call arrivals forecasting and little involves prehospital emergency medical call center, whose special features are ignored.This paper proposes a novel method for forecasting urban prehospital emergency medical call arrivals and then schedule agents based on traditional queueing model.A real data case is conducted to evaluate the performance of the new procedure.It concludes that the procedure of arrivals forecasting and agent scheduling in urban prehospital emergency call center perform well.
