EXPLORING THE STRATEGIES FOR INDUSTRIAL SYMBIOSIS DEVELOPMENT--EXPERIENCE FROM THE COMPARATIVE CASE STUDIES

　　Recently, many scholars and practitioners have believed that the development of Industrial Symbiosis (IS) networks or Eco-Industrial Parks (EIPs) is an important measure to promote the transformation of circular economy.The abundant IS activities around the world have given examples to explore the development strategies for a resilient IS system.This article presents the comparative analysis of three IS cases: Humberside, Kawasaki and TEDA.Focusing on the key influential factors revealed in the case studies, this paper has examined the feasible measures to improve the success of IS practice, indicating that coordinated collaboration network, diverse industrial foundation, associated policy intervention and financial support should be taken into account in the development strategy of IS networks and EIPs.
