EFFECTIVENESS OF RETURNS POLICES ON SUPPY CHAIN PERFORMANCE UNDER PRICE-DEPENDENT DEMAND WITH DOMINATED RETAILER

　　This paper studies the effect of returns policies on supply-chain performance with price-depend demand.We first model the decisions under centralized supply-chain.Then, with the centralized supply chain as a benchmark, we use the game theory to analyze the coordination of returns policies on the decentralized supply chain.The game plays with the retailer as a Stackelberg leader and supplier as a follower.Numerical study shows that under an assumption of the retailer as the Stackelberg leader, returns policies could improve the total income and therefore obtain Pareto improvement when demand is a linear-function of price.However, when demand is a nonlinear-function of price, returns policies might decline the supply-chains performance.
