THE IMPACT OF INTERCONNECTED RELATIONSHIP STRATEGIES ON SUPPLY NETWORK STRUCTURE
Bottom-up or evolutionary school of SNs research believe that supply networks (SNs) shares complex adaptive system (CAS) characteristics which all of its phenomena or features emerge from co-evolution of local interactions. As efficient SN characteristics had been known from many empirical and theoretical research, then it is intriguing to investigate what kind of local rules that may coevolve and in turn emerge an efficient SN.Our research objective is to investigate of how coevolutionary of interconnected relationships of local interactions in SN can influence its network structure? And can it emerge to efficient SN structure? In this research we will use agent simulation framework to simulate local rules consisting of interconnected relationship strategies i.e., cooperation, defection, co-opetition and competition.Prisoner dilemma game payoff matrix will be employed as incentive schemes for agents interaction. We expect to find local interactions that can affect the evolution of SN topology and lead to the emergent of self-organized efficient SN.
