IMPLEMENTATION OF ATMOSPHERIC ILLUMINATION METHOD FOR IMMERSIVE GRAPHICS ON KANSEI VR SYSTEM
Landscape design that has the varied components and is complicated, it has challenges for Kansei engineering.In residential garden designing that contain natural objects such as rocks, trees and ponds, are widely diversified.Our recent researches have focused on the visualizing an evaluation of garden designing, and made the garden design process with Kansei engineering.From our researches, we realized the importance of atmosphere effects influenced by a sunshine, weather and an its landscape.We propose the practical approach for a VR designing system that shows material appearance in various atmospheres, such as morning-glow, daylight, sunset, shiny, cloudy and fog.To implement atmosphere effects, we made an environmental illumination with an easy-to-use acquiring from spherical photo images, and renders the appearances of design elements in VR.This approach enables to make the on-site evaluation with Kansei Engineering System, and suited to visualize residential garden.More effective appearance and mobility are promised for landscape experiment with wide-view head-mounted display.
