RESEARCH ON EFFECTS OF ADJUSTMENT OF CHINAS EXPORT TAX REBATE ON SINO-US TRADE IN MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL INDUSTRY

摘要：

　　This paper utilizes the COMPAS model to examine effects of adjustment of export tax rebate policy on the Sino-US trade in mechanical and electronic industry.The main conclusions drawn are as follows: (i) for the 333-sector machinery manufacturing industry, when China raises the export tax rebate by one percent, the price of the products exported to the United States will decline by O.73 %, the volume of the products exported to the Unites States will increase by 3.85%, the revenue of the products exported to United States will increase by 3.15%, while the effect of the policy on the 335-sector electrical equipment manufacturing industry is relatively weak;(ii) raising the export tax rebate in China has little impact on development of the US domestic mechanical and electrical industry.
