ANALYSIS ON PRICK-MOTION OF SUTURE NEEDLE BY A SURGEON

　　It is important to model the surgical needle handling motion for improving the basic surgery technique.Surgical needle handling motion by surgeon is recorded from 4 direction using 4 CCD cameras.Straight motion and curve motion which construct the Prick-Motion in surgical needle handling are modeled from recorded video.As results, the maximum depth in suturing depended on the straight motion because radius in curve motion was nearly to radius in suture needle, and because there were significant differences in the prick angle and in the prick length.
