DEVELOPMENT FOR ENVIRONMENT RECOGNIZING SYSTEM OF BONE CONDUCTION HEADPHONE TYPE USING ULTRASONIC WAVE

The environment recognizing system using the ultrasonic wave is developed to set on the bone conduction headphone for walking support of visually impaired. The recognition range which is distance and angles between the system and the object is measured to evaluate the performance of this system. In the performance evaluation on the distance and angles of this system, the following results were obtained. This system was not able to recognize the object that was positioned to more than 2 meters. The existence of the object was expressed by linearly higher sound from 0.5 meters to 1.5 meters. The range that both transceivers could recognize was widest with 0 degrees of the transceiver angle.
