Review on Prevention from Reproductive Diseases in Chinese Yak
Yak lives at Qinghai-Tibeteau Plateau and its adjacent area and produces some important production and living materials for the Tibetans at high altitude location over 3 500 m.As other cows, female yak often contracts some reproductive diseases and these diseases directly influence population fecundity and economic incomes of Tibetans.Herein, we reviewed some important reproductive diseases of yak, including dystocia, anestrus, overmuch of amniotic fluid, retained placenta, uterus hernia, and endometritis.Some methods of traditional Tibetan medicine and modern medicine to treat the reproductive diseases of yaks were also be elucidated.
