Estimation of carbon and nitrogen isotope ratio in barley and pea mixtures using hyperspectral measurements
This paper investigated the performance of hyperspectral measurements for total nitrogen (Total N), nitrogen isotope (15N), total carbon (Total C) and carbon isotope (13C) estimation in barley and pea mixtures. The predictive ability of iterative stepwise elimination partial least squares regression (ISE-PLSR) was compared with that of standard full-spectrum partial least squares regression (FS-PLSR).For all parameters, ISE-PLS showed higher cross-validated coefficient determination (R2cv) and lower cross-validated root mean square error (RMSEcv) than FS-PLS.
