A study on fermentation quality of mixed silage of harvested soybean by-products
The current study aimed to investigate the effect of the mixed ratio and the additive on fermentation quality of mixed silage with harvested soybean by-products (HSPs) and alfalfa or whole crop corm. The results indicated that the V-score of alfalfa-HSPs supplemented with formic acid, glucose and lactic acid bacterial treatments was higher than that of the controls and that the fermentation quality was significantly improved, whereas good fermentation cannot be achieved with glucose treatment supplementation. The fermentation of the mixed silage with HSPs and whole crop corm was not influenced by supplementation and mixed ratio, obtaining the good quality.
