Research progress of shear thickening fluid/high-performance puncture-proof composite materials
With the continuous development of the military and science and technology, peoples requirements of stab resistant garment are increasing, the pursuit of light soft puncture-proof clothing has become mainstream.Development of anti stab resistant garment material is the principal way to improve the anti stab performance and wearing comfort.High-performance fiber, make the protective material to change from rigid to the semi-rigid even soft protective material to be possible.This article summarizes the shear thickening fluid with high performance fiber composites application and extra supplies, from the composite with Kevlar fibers, UHMWPE fiber, nylon fiber, and analysis of puncture-proof mechanism by internal comparison, and expounds the important role of shear thickening fluid in high-performance puncture-proof composite materials.
