Parameterization of EEG topographical characteristics for analyzing visual evoked potentials

Objective Visual evoked potentials(VEPs)appeared in electroencephalographic(EEG)record is the response of the human brain by strobe light, video display and so on.Since the VEP reflects the information process on visual system in the brain, characteristics of VEP response depend on the properties of visual stimuli as luminance, temporal frequency, pattern, and color.Fundamental characteristics can be obtained from the amplitude of VEP response at the occipital region, but the multichannel information is essential if the detailed analyses such as inter-channel relationship and the extension of VEP components are required.
