Influences on the induction of human neuroplasticity plasticity with non-invasive brain stimulation
Non-invasive brain stimulation(NIBS)techniques can be used to induce short lasting plasticity within the human cortex. The changes induced with NIBS have many similarities to the activity dependent mechanisms of long-term potentiation(LTP)and long-term depression(LTD)described in animal studies and which have critical roles in learning and memory.
