　　Pupil size reflects modulation of the locus coeruleus – norepinephrine(LC-NE)system.Historically,the LC-NE system has been implicated in emotional arousal,but recently researchers propose new theories of cognitive functions of the LC-NE system such as attention(Aston-Jones & Cohen,2005).
