STUDY ON PROPERTIES OF MANUFACTURED SAND SELF-COMPACTING CONCRETE MEMBERS FILLED WITH DIFFERENT LARGE-SIZE AGGREGATES

The properties of self-compacting concrete members(1m×1m×6m) filled with different size aggregates(huge large-size (30~60cm), large-size (10~30cm), normal-size (0.5~2cm)) were studied, such as compactness, compressive strength and ultimate flexural load etc.The result indicates that the workability of self-compacting concrete prepared with different size aggregates can meet the filling requirement by optimized mix proportion. The compressive strength and interior compactness of different members were favorable and met relative requirement.Compared with self-compacting concrete member incorporating normal-size aggregate, the interior maximum temperature peak of self-compacting concrete members filled with huge large-size and large-size aggregates decreased 18~23 ℃ and the temperature peak delayed 4~9h.However, the ultimate flexural load of self-compacting concrete members filled with huge large-size and large-size aggregates were low, and the higher bending moment, the more obvious size effect of large-size aggregate on it was.The key effect of the factors on mechanical properties, especially bending, tension and shearing resistance of self-compacting concrete members with different size aggregates, are diameter size, accumulation degree, distribution of huge large-size and large-size aggregate and interface bonding.
