Study on Emergency Monitoring of Baishuihe High-Level Landslide in Southwest, China

Baishuihe landslide lies in Xicheng city, Sichuan province, China. It is shovel shape in plane and linear shape in slope. Its elevation of back edge is from 2000 to 2010 m, its elevation of shear outlets is about 1615m, the elevation of Heishui river is 1076 m in front of landslide, and the elevation difference is about 943 m between the back edge of landslide and Heishui river. The gradient of slope is about 28° in average. The main sliding direction is 52°.The average width of landslide is 250m, length is 400m, thickness is from 2m to 24.3 m, average thickness is 18 m, its area is 10×104 m2, its volume is 176×104 m3.There are many curved cracks and the cracks have characteristics of zonation and temporal development.According to distributions of cracks, there are three deformation zones: stronger deformation zone, medium deformation zone and slight deformation zone.In order to ensure the safe of rainy season and construction period, we take manual and automatic monitoring ways measures to monitor the landslide, such as, deformation of surface, deep displacement, rainfall precipitation, video frequency, light and sound alarm system.
