Evaluation Research on the Landslide Disaster Liability in Zhada Region of Tibet

Zhada region located in the southwest of the Himalayas in Tibet is one of the fastest uplift areas of Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.Because of the areas unique tectonic setting and evolutionary process, major landslide disasters occur frequently in this area and they obstacle the normal development of local economy seriously, and destroy the balance of the regional ecological environment.Based on the work of predecessors and the research of factors influencing the development and distribution of major landslide disasters in Zhada region, I do the risk assessment of major landslide disasters in the area by using the analytic hierarchy process.By analyzing the formation conditions and distribution characteristics of the disaster, and combined with the geological characteristics of the Zhada region, by selecting reasonable influence factors, and evaluation system can be established. After weighing all the influencing factors, the landslide stability evaluation model can be established and comprehensive analysis can be done.According to the analysis results, every evaluation unit in the area can be divided into five categories as very low-prone areas, low-prone areas, medium-prone areas, high-prone areas and very high-prone areas according to the prone degree and the results of the division are tested, and the test curve shows that the effect of division is good.
