Slope Structure Classification of High Rock Slopes and Its Engineering Application in Southwest China
The basis of stability calculation and supporting design of high rock slope is the analysis of geological conditions.Existing geological analysis method primarily interprets the method in phenomenon describing and rock structure analysis.So, it is not convenient for designers due to lack of reasonable index on description of structural characteristics of slope.In this paper, firstly, the difference and connection among slope body structure, rock structure and slope structure is discriminated.And then the established method of slope body structure is discussed.Slope body structure is established on the basis of geological investigation and slope analysis, which is taking into account the following factors, such as main control structural plane, comprehensive analysis of engineering geological petro fabric, free face characteristics, geologic structural feature, result of natural force and groundwater development status.On the basis of summarizing and analyzing geological conditions of the already built and under construction slope of hydropower project in southwest China, divided the slope body structure into six classes and ten types, thus the classification system is preliminary established.Based on the classification system established the corresponding relationship between slope body structure and failure mode, which further provide evidence for establishing calculation model and selecting slope stability method and corresponding supporting design.Finally the important application value of research results to slope body structure in slope engineering is described.
