STUDY ON 4-COORDINATED ISOMORPHIC EFFECT OF SI IN THE UTILIZATION PROCESS OF AL-SI SOLID WASTES
In order to improve comprehensive utilization of Al-Si solid wastes, changes of coordination of Si and A1 in the thermal activation and gelatification process of calcined gangue and metakaolinite were tested by infrared spectroscopy (IR) and magnetic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS NMR) in this study.During the calcinations process of gangue and kaolinite, the 6-coordinated aluminum was transformed to the 4-coordinated aluminum or 5-coordinated aluminum gradually.Al-coordination change complied with the Thompson principle which showed that in silicate minerals, low temperature and high pressure was favorite to high coordination of aluminurn,on the contrary high temperature and low pressure was favorite to low coordination of aluminum. In the gelatification process of activated gangue and metakaolinite, due to the isomorphic effect of 4-coordinated Si,the 6-coordinated aluminum was transformed to the 4-coordinated aluminum so as to form the aluminumsilicate.Change of Si coordination was that 4-coordinated A1 number of coordinating with Si-O tetrahedron increased both in the process of thermal activation and gelatification of gangue.
