Simulation of the Ship Burble in a Cooperative Carrier Approach Pattern
Ship burble is one of the main sources leading to carrier landing error,thus the intensive researches on it are significant in optimizing the performance of carrier landing.A practical final approach pattern for carrier aircraft was described.It was characterized by the adjustment of a carriers heading and velocity to cater for local sea-wind in creating favorable airflow field,besides the involved advantages and feasibility were detailed.With this pattern as premise,the numerical emulation of ship burble was achieved according to the specifications on carrier airwake modeling in MIL-HDBK-1797.In addition,aiming at the nonlinear time-varying parameters in the random components of the burble model,a succinct solution was set forth.The results of time-domain simulation for all three velocity components were presented,and the capability of the model form proposed by the standard in approximately delineating carrier airwake of multiple cases was discussed as well.
