A Logistic-Interpolation-Based Fuzzy Controller for Electrode Regulation of Submerged Arc Furnace

  Submerged arc furnace is a system with strong coupling,nonlinearity and time-variability.In this paper,a logistic-interpolation-based fuzzy controller for electrode regulation of submerged arc furnace is proposed.The proposed controller is based on fuzzy logic control strategy,and interpolation algorithm is employed to improve the control accuracy without raising complexity of the controller.The errors between the set values and the measured values of every phase electrode current are taken as the input of the controller,while the output of the controller is obtained according to the interpolation calculation of the neighboring antecedents of the observation.The interpolation coefficients are calculated based on the weighted distance between the observation and its neighboring antecedent.And the deformed logistic function is adopted to improve the interpolation results.Simulations are performed to estimate the effectiveness of the proposed controller and the results show that the proposed controller achieves better control quality with higher control accuracy and faster response.
