EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS OF T-ABRUPT EXITS PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION CHARACTERISTICS IN THE RISER
Pressure distribution was measured for gas-solid two phase flow (air-FCC particles) in the riser with different blind tube lengths of T-abrupt exit over a wide range of operation conditions. It is found that, the axial pressure distribution is C, and the transition point of axial pressure distribution, with increasing superficial gas velocity, is higher along the riser height; For a given superficial gas velocity, the transition point of axial pressure distribution becomes lower along with solid circulating rate increasing;the blind tube length has an important effect on the height of the transition point, and the transition point of axial pressure distribution will become lower with higher blind tube length. The experimental results also reveal that the correlation for superficial gas velocity, solid circulating rate and blind tube length at the transition point of axial pressure distribution. The work indicates the necessity of further research in order to take into account the effect of risers exit on gas-solid flow pressures in CFB riser with the basis of previous work.
