EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON SOLID CIRCULATION RATE IN FLUIDIZED-TRANSPORT BED COUPLED REACTOR

  The effects of central tube position, the ratio of the diameters of central tube and draft tube (d/D), gas velocities, particle size and static bed height on the solid circulation rate (Gs) have been determined in a coupled reactor.The experimental results indicated that the position of the central tube has a certain but not significant effect on the solid circulation rate.The solid circulation rate significantly decreased with the increase of the diameter ratio when the central air flow was less than 25 m3h.However, the solid circulation rate was almost unchanged when the central air flow was more than 35 m3h.With fixed central air velocity, the solid circulation rate remarkably increased with the increase of diameter ratio.Operating gas velocity, particle size and static bed height had a great influence on the solid circulation rate.When the diameter ratio was less than 0.47, the solid circulation rate increased with the increase of the gas velocity to the central tube or fluidization area and the increasing tend slowed down when the gas velocity increased to a certain level.When the diameter ratio was more than 0.55, the solid circulation rate was almost unchanged with increasing gas velocities to the central tube but increased continuously with increasing gas velocity to the fluidization area.With fixed gas velocities to the central tube and fluidization area, the solid circulation rate showed a decreasing trend with increasing the average size of particles while it increased with increasing static bed height.A correlation equation of the solid circulation rate was given.Comparison of the calculated results and the experimental dates proved that the average relative error was-4.37% and the relative errors of calculated results were within ±30%.
