TWO-PHASE FLOW STRUCTURE IN A NOVEL INTERNALLY CIRCULATING FLUIDIZED BED
Experiments were conducted in a cold model ICFB.Transient solid holdup signals were registered and statistically analyzed.Local flow structure was discussed and evaluated.The volume fraction of the bubble/void phase increases with increasing superficial gas velocity, and decreases along axial direction, because of bubble coalescence.Standard deviation of solid holdup of the emulsion is greater in the draft tube than in the annulus, arising from stronger bubble coalescence and breakerup in the draft tube.
