INVESTIGATION ON THE HEAT TRANSFER INTENSIFICATION MECHANISM OF A NEW FLUIDIZED BED HEAT EXCHANGER

  In this study, a new heat transfer intensification method was verified experimentally to reveal the relationship between the increase of heat transfer coefficient and the change of hydrodynamics on heat tube surface.A specially designed electrically heated vertical tube and an optical filter probe were employed to measure the heat transfer coefficient and surface hydrodynamics, respectively.The experimental results further demonstrated the feasibility of the heat transfer intensification method, excluding the influence of gas distributor.Axial profile of heat transfer coefficient confirmed the existence of the effective intensification height.The reduced root mean residence time of packet as a result of the double distributor designed in the annular catalyst cooler played a dominant role on increasing the heat transfer coefficient.
