PARTITIONING BEHAVIOR OF TRACE ELEMENTS IN A PILOT-SCALE CIRCULATING FLUIDIZED BED COMBUSTOR WITH AN NOVEL IN-BED HEAT EXCHANGER
Coal combustion was carried out on a 2.5 MWth pilot circulating fluldized bed (CFB) with an In-Bed Heat Exchanger (IBHX) at Southeast University in China.Partitioning behavior of trace elements was evaluated by sampling the solid streams using inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy (ICP-MS).Results show that partitioning behaviors of trace elements were different among solid streams and trace elements were mainly recovered in fly ash.Relative enrichment factors increase with the decrease of particle size, except Mn, Cr, and Ba.The enrichment of trace elements of particles slipt from IBHX was influenced by IBHX averaged superficial velocity.
