Vibration and Monitoring of a Stand Alone Wind Turbine
Vibration characteristics of a 6kW stand alone wind turbine system are investigated by experiment and analysis.A integrated monitoring system for a small size wind turbine is established.Vibration response of the tower-cable system is monitored and investigated with the analytical results.To predict the resonance speed of the wind turbine,Rayleigh-Ritz method is applied to the tower-guy cable coupled system.Parametric study on the relation of the cable tension,cable elasticity and resonance frequency is carried out.Finally,Vibration problem of the wind turbine is diagnosed and a practical solution is proposed.
