Application of Real-time Pitch Technology and Truss Hollow Shaft in Big Vertical Axis Wind Turbine

摘要：

　　It is well known that vertical axis wind turbines(VAWTs)are safer,quieter and do not need tall towers.However,hardly any commercialized VAWTs have been manufactured in spite of the efforts of engineers.The reasons are obvious: the problems of dynamic efficiency,self-starting,structural stability and safety braking remain unsolved.In this paper,the technologies applied to solve these problems by SAWT are explained.
