Studies on the Influence of Output Torque of Savonius Wind Wheel on the Vertical Axis Wind Turbine at Low Rotational Speed by Wind Tunnel Test
The purpose of this article is to show you the influence of output torque of Savonius wind wheel on the Straight-bladed vertical axis wind turbine at low rotational speed by Wind tunnel test.In the course of the experiment,there are three kinds of wind turbine parameters are changed on the straight bladed vertical axis wind turbine additional Savonius wind wheel.The effects of the three kinds of parameters on the output torque are tested by Wind tunnel.The effects of wind turbine airfoil,radius and the number of blades on the output torque were analyzed.Then through the contrast tests of adding Savonius in the same condition,the effects of three kinds of parameters on the output torque is tested.The effect of rate of the number of blades,blade airfoil and blade radius were studied.The results show that the effects of wind wheel with Savonius on output torque at low speed of vertical axis wind turbine was obviously.When the wind turbine parameters are changed,the average improvement rate of wind turbine torque coefficient changes is evident.
