Wind Energy Information Datapool:The reliability Database WInD-Pool
To optimize wind turbine design as well as maintenance strategies it is essential to have in-depth knowledge about the reliability behavior of plants,components and parts.The generation of a common database provided by a large group of operators and containing operational experience as well as failure information will,due to its size,enable statistically reliable statements regarding the reliability behavior.Fraunhofer IWES is working in different initiatives and projects on a holistic approach for data collection and utilization and a consistent concept for a common database for optimizing maintenance procedures and wind turbine performance.
