Wind Power Generation for Community-based Organizations in Sub-Saharan African Countries:The Case of Ethiopia

The paper attempts to explain that there are pressing and delayed needs for advancing and prompting distributed wind power generation for community-based developments in most regions of Sub-Saharan Africa(SSA)in general.Taking Ethiopia as a particular case, even with ongoing and relatively extensive grid-integrated wind power generation projects(soon to arise above 300 MW by 2014 and beyond),small-and medium-scale country-wide and community-based wind power generation programs are yet to be initially introduced and seriously considered.
