Psychological Contract Breach and Organizational Political Behaviors in Organizational Change

  Change is an event that is situational and external to us, something old stops or something new starts.People are said to resist organizational change, but more often it is the transition that they resist.They are resisting loss of their world and risk of failing in a new beginning.In this study, we investigate four cases to analyze psychological contract breach and organizational political behaviors during organizational change.The four cases took place in diverse settings.The first case involved employees in a US manufacturing organization which produced computer chips.Case 2 occurred within the organization of a market-listed US company.Case 3 was about the story of a Chinese state-controlled enterprise.Case 4 regarded the organization from telecommunications industry.Finally we provide constructive suggestions for managers of the organizations in a period of change through this research.
