Distributors Competitiveness Key Influence Factors Analysis in an Emerging Market: Evidence from China
We reviewed the development history of distributors in China, elaborated the distributors in the face of difficulties in the emerging market, and defined distributor systematically.Based on literature reviews, we proposed that in the emerging market, Channel Capacity, Brand capability, Capital capability, Logistics Capacity, Products and Services Value-added capacity will be the key factors influence on distributors competitiveness.The empirical results show that Channel capability and Capital capability are the key influence factors on distributors competitiveness.This study has important theoretical and empirical contributions.We provide a more comprehensive framework to analyze the distributors competitiveness problems.In addition, this paper highlights distributors function change in emerging markets, and emphasizes the distributor as an independent economic entity rather than the manufacturer of accessories should have their own core competencies.These results also have implications for practioners.Distributors should further strengthen the construction of Channel Capacity and Capital capability.
