The Optimized Design for the Employee Performance Appraisal System of Large State-Owned Tourism Enterprise: A Case Study for DJL Travel Group

  Facing the international financial crisis, the State Council introduced policies to strengthen the development of tourism, so as to turn it to be a pillar industry.Chinese tourism industry started late, heavily depending on the attraction of tourism resources without enough attention paid to management of human resources, so that the performance appraisal system of state-owned tourism enterprises is not well developed, which seriously hinder the development of the tourism industry.Therefore, to establish a scientific and effective performance appraisal system is to be a top priority.This paper reviews literature on performance appraisal and performance management of tourism enterprise, proposes an optimization model for the performance appraisal for employees in tourism enterprises based on past research.Also, this paper illustrates the optimization model through studying a case of a marketing department of one large state-owned tourism enterprise.
