Study of S-G Filter Based Real-time OFDM-PON System
Real-time Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Passive Optical Network(OFDM-PON)has been extensively studied at home and abroad in recent years. In this paper,we realize a real-time OFDM transmitter system and introduce Savitzky-Golay filter to smooth the transmitted signal into the communication system.Firstly, the architecture of the real-time OFDM-PON was proposed in which a Xilinx V5 FPGA is used to generate the OFDM signal and a S-G filter is used to smooth the signal and weaken the noise. At the receiver,we use MATLAB to recover the signal and simulate the constellation diagram and bit error rate.Whats more, this paper introduces the basic principle of S-G filter and analysis the performance of the filter when it is used in an OFDM system. In conclusion, the simulation results show that the S-G filter implemented in the real-time OFDM-PON system is easy to realize that it can reduce the complexity of the system and bit error rate at the same time.As a result,it is proofed to be suitable for the real-time OFDM-PON system.
