Dark states ultra-long fiber laser (UFL) for practically secure key distribution

  We demonstrate a new UFL key distribution system which quenches lasing process in its secure states,providing enhanced security.Ranges of 500km with bit-rates of 0.5kbps are feasible.Spectral/temporal attack strategies are analyzed in details.
